As a part of fabric sample preparation, tear strength tester is mainly used to measure the force required for cutting and extending cutting. As a commonly used testing instrument, five samples and five weft samples are usually taken for this test.

Type of tear strength test:

1. Single tear tear test/pants tear test

2.Wing tear test

I. single tear test:

According to ENISO13937 (2) -2000, fabric samples with a length of 200mm and a width of 50mm were prepared, with only one tear.

The global average tearing force of the weft, in newtons (N) or centinewtons (CN).

Ii. Wing tear test:

The Wingrip test overcomes some of the problems found in the single-slit test because it can test most types of fabric without causing tear transfer. During the test, the tear point is basically aligned with the center of the handle.

Installation in tensile test:

Test five samples of warp and five samples of weft.
