Water resistance refers to the ability of fabrics to prevent water from wetting or penetrating. The water repellency of a fabric therefore includes both moisture resistance and penetration (hydrostatic pressure) resistance.

If the waterproof performance of the product meets the requirements of relevant standards, the name of the product can be clearly stated as "waterproof + product category", such as: waterproof windbreaker, rainproof top. For the functional indicators of class I and class II, the class or class II should be marked on the tag, if not marked, it will be regarded as a class I product.

In addition, if the product only has a certain degree of moisture resistance or impermeability, it is not appropriate to mark "waterproof", but should be marked with "moisture resistance", "anti-wet", "splash-proof", or "seepage-proof", "penetration-resistant" . If the product's wetness or hydrostatic pressure index is clearly indicated in the instructions for use, the method standard adopted shall also be clearly indicated.
