Single twist tester is literally a twist tester for testing single yarns, and the test method is twist untwisting method, with reference to the standard GB/T 2543.2-2001 textiles, determination of twist in yarns. Part 2: twist untwisting method, operation steps:

Step 1: turn on the electronic yarn twist meter, and set the LCD screen parameters after electrification. M is the test method, M=1 is the one time untwisting and adding twist method, the spacing length L is set as 250mm, and the spacing between the fixed single yarn is set as 250mm.

Step 2: the pretension shall be applied according to (0.5 0.1) cN/ Tex. If the yarn is 10tex, the pretension shall be applied to 5cn.

Step 3: introduce the yarn into the left and right tongs of the electronic yarn twist meter. According to the standard, the allowable elongation of the general yarn is set to 4mm. Then move the needle holding the yarn on the ruler to the zero position.

Step 4: press the start button instrument, untwisting yarn, gauge pointer reaches preset elongation 4 mm, without the permission of the untwisting will start after twisting, gauge pointer will return to zero, this instrument zero indicator, end of the test, the test is completed, read on the LCD screen for every 10 cm twist values (or conversion didn't twist per meter), repeat the test again, get the average.
