  • 2018-09-07 12:09:36

1. Relevant regulations

Children's pajamas are fireproof

Additional: CPSC 16 CFR 1610 is the fire protection standard for clothing textile (general clothing), excluding hats, gloves, shoes and lining. This standard is the minimum fire protection requirement for textiles and clothing and is applicable to all adult and children's clothing. CPSC 16 CFR 1615 & 1616 for children's pyjamas as a more stringent specification, all garments or materials used for children's pyjamas must comply with this specification.

2. Test method

The test requires 2 or 3 samples, that is, 10 or 15 samples (each group includes 5 samples). The single sample size is 3.5 "x10" and must be dried and cooled before testing. The sample is placed vertically and ignited for 3.0 seconds with a 1.5-inch flame. The burnt test sample is then gently torn apart with the corresponding hammer to remove the burnt material and melt. The burning length is the vertical distance between the tearing terminal and the contact flame of the sample to the bottom edge of the burning.

The length of Flammability refers to the vertical distance between the bottom edge of the original contact with the flame (according to the test procedure) and the tearing terminal, or the vertical distance left blank after being carbonized and damaged.
