GB/ t14272-2002 "down clothing standard" mentions in the lining requirements that "no airtight film is allowed".It has been observed that at present, few manufacturers use "thin film" in the production process of down garment, but many enterprises use coated fabric as the fabric in direct contact with down.Traditional down production and processing, and down direct contact with the fabric is generally the use of high density poplin cloth, anti-drill down effect is very good, and better air permeability.Because the high density poplin cloth price is higher, the general production enterprise has changed to the coating fabric, thus saves the cost.However, coated fabrics used by some manufacturers have poor air permeability, which is almost the same as that of thin films, or even no air permeability at all, which is obviously against the original intention of the standard.In GB/T14272 -- 2002, it was mentioned that "the testing method of the air permeability of finished fabrics should be in accordance with the provisions of GB/T5453 -- 1997", and only the testing standard of air permeability was given, but no specific assessment index was given.The technical guide for export commodities: down garment also does not mention the direct assessment of the breathability of down garment fabric, which indicates that the breathability of down garment fabric is not taken as a necessary assessment index in domestic and foreign standard systems and international trade.However, considering the sanitary problems of down clothing during taking, it is suggested that the down clothing fabric must have some air permeability to prevent the down clothing from breeding and breeding bacteria in a warm and humid environment, thus affecting the health of the wearer.
