There is residual formaldehyde in textiles. Under the action of temperature and humidity, formaldehyde will be released to different degrees.In the process of storage and use, formaldehyde can enter the human body through breathing and skin contact, causing a variety of diseases and even cancer.

At present, the following factors must be paid attention to when testing formaldehyde content of textiles according to GB/T2912.1.

1. Laboratory environmental conditions

The laboratory atmosphere should be the standard atmosphere for experiment, and the non-standard atmosphere will affect the test data.

2. Representativeness of sampling and storage of samples

The sampling of cloth, garments and samples will affect the accuracy and objectivity of formaldehyde content detection data

3. Drug quality

The color of acetylacetone has a great influence on the absorbance of blank test.

4. formaldehyde standard curve production

The accuracy of standard solution is the key to test, so in the process of preparation, calibration, storage and use, it should be standardized, strict and strict.

The calibration solution shall be configured with at least 5 concentrations and shall be prepared at the standard concentration gradient.

5. Extraction temperature and time

The standard is 60±5min extraction in 40±2℃ water bath.Extraction time and temperature shall be in strict accordance with the method standards.

6. Accuracy of operation by operators

In the process of experimental operation, operators will bring influence to the detection data, which requires operators to operate in a standard and rigorous manner and minimize human error.
