What is twist?

Meaning of twist test?

By testing the twist of the yarn, we know the basic structure and working principle of the yarn twist instrument, grasp the operating method and sampling requirements of the instrument, and understand the meaning of various indicators.

Twist test

The twist is usually not evenly distributed on the whole yarn, and it is required to leave a yard sample to test the twist.The twist tester has many kinds, but the general design is the same.First, the yarn is held in a clamp on the left side of the support point, and then pulled to the right rotary clip, the dial pointer is zero.Second, attach the yarn to the spin clip, and the sample yarn is about 10 or 20 inches. When the rotating clip is rotated, the twist is unwound. When all the twist disappears, the rotation clip continues to rotate in the same direction until the twist is rejoined and the pointer goes to zero.The total number of revolutions is recorded, the total winding number is divided by two, and the length of the sample is calculated, and the twist of each inch is calculated.
